Upholstery 101.

I need to take that course, if it exists.

I snagged this chair from Goodwill for $20 a couple of weeks ago and I think I’ll finally get to refinishing it this next week. I want the wood to be natural, so that’ll be easy. But deciding what fabric to use and figuring out how to duplicate those lines (or deciding not to) will be more complicated. Any pointers?

  1. I’ve never done it but I’ve been told to carefully take off each piece and use it as a pattern for the new pieces. Also, they make curved upholstery needles for stitching that can only be done from the top – if you need something like that. Have fun!
